Ana Huertas

Ana is a facilitator for social change and community resilience. She is a professional in international cooperation for development, sustainable agriculture, holistic education and a trained Permaculture teacher and course facilitator for the Transition Movement.
She coordinates Red de Transición and the Municipalities in Transition Project.

Juan del Rio

Juan is an international facilitator of community transformation and ecosocial regeneration. He has worked for 15 years designing and implementing projects and trainings on local resilience, systemic change and sustainability in Europe, Latin America and the Middle East. He has extensive experience in collaborative processes and networking, being co-founder of Transition Spain, ECOLISE network and outreach coordinator, and MiT core team member. He is also the author of “Guía del movimiento de Transición”, and codirector of the film ALTER NATIVES. Juan holds a BSc in Biology and a MSc in Sustainability. He lives in Cardedeu, Spain, where he has a permaculture garden.

Cristiano Bottone

‍A twenty-year background in the world of marketing and communication then, since 2008, he has dedicated himself completely to the study and practice of systemic social innovation mainly within the Transition Town movement. In particular, he deals with exploring the involvement of institutional levels and experimenting with the evolution of democratic systems. He is Transition Trainer and facilitator, co-founder of the first Transition Town in Italy and of Transition Italia, member of the MiT core team, developer of the LTT methodology and LTT Tutor

Sara Silva

Sara is a landscape architect and since 2008 has been working with community-led initiatives and municipalities as a facilitator towards regenerative ways of living and inclusive collaboration. She was part of the MiT core team, LTT Tutor and coordinates Cidade Mais, an urban annual festival on social transformation and sustainable development in Porto, Portugal.

Having recently completed a master’s degree in urban resilience design & management, Pav's passion lies in exploring how to effectively catalyze systemic transformation towards equitable, regenerative futures. He joined the Municipalities in Transition project as an intern in 2021, helping to manage the action research project through its final year and playing an instrumental role in the creation of KuneLab SCCL. Pav continues to be involved in the KuneLab's coordination and strategic direction from his home base in Toronto, Canada.

Degree in physics from the University of Florence (Firenze, Italy), PhD in electronic systems from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM, Madrid, Spain), currently researcher in the group GEEDS of the University of Valladolid (Valladolid, Spain). He got experience in the development of a systemic methodology for socio-ecological transition in municipalities, communities and local realities (LTT - Tutor and developer) within the international transition movement.

Pedro Macedo

Pedro is a catalyst for community regeneration with more than 20 years of experience in facilitating regional and local participatory sustainability projects in 60 communities. He is an action researcher at the Centre for Ecology, Evolution and Environmental Changes. Pedro also participates in the Lisbon cohort of The Regenerative Practitioner Series and the Climate Reality Leadership Corps.
